And you damn sure aren't going to ever make any real power with shelf cams LMFAO!!!
|
Wow touchy little guy aren`t ya.
Not sure why you brought mild in here but hes been running his for 4 seasons now trouble free. Maybe your engines will last longer then a year this time around? This will be my first "all me" build so we shall see. Good luck with your high lift short duration valvetrain killing super duper "custom" cams thou, they`ve worked out so good for so many people. lol We have no clue says the guy who needs bob to design his cam, Joe irwin to build and tune his engine :lolhit: 1400-1500 pump gas motors are nothing new shows you really don`t have much clue about the limits of octane and cylinder heat and pressure but good luck with that. |

It would be totally different engines and efi. 1400-1500 on pump gas is nothing new. Keep buildung your boat anchor engines... You and mild dont have a phucking clue.
2 engine meltdowns from a "faulty warning switch alarm" ...lmao! Did Bob Madera give you the ok to bad wrap me ? Should i start posting all the info on how on at least half a dozen engines on the dyno, that actuslly made MORE power, when his cams were removed for an off the shelf lunati cam?? Engines built by some very well known marine engine builders. You think your cam guy is a god, and those who actually know wtf they are talking about, think he's a joke. Such an angry little man you are. If you truly think, you cant make power with a cam that is a shelf stocked item, whether at crane, comp, lunati, howards, crower, and so on, well, then the joke is on you. |
Can't be done says the shelf cam guru on oso.... You two must wake up and suck each other off

I never said it couldnt be done. Anybody can make power on a dyno pull. My buddys 522 made 1298hp on pump gas with a m4 procharger on the dyno. Making it last in an offshore boat is another thing. Steve morris been making big numbers on pump, as well as many others. Whats the point ?
Why don't you two go phuck up someone else's thread.. If your budget is worried about sh!t lasting maybe you should go buy a pontoon boat..... |
Is this a Facebook beef I don't know about cause I don't subscribe. I'm sure this is only keyboard drama or did you all meet on a dock somewhere?

I have not posted on this thread at all, but for some reason, Mrs mmb felt the need to call me out, and call me an azzhat. Because someone else questioned their engine idea.

Guess you haven't noticed the people that don't come around anymore, been to busy patting yourself on the back.... If you don't like build threads and consider it bragging you can stop following it anytime. My whole reason for this thread was to document work if I ever sell the boat, not to please mild thunder.
|
Was not being a smart ass toward any of you was just curious cause I have noticed on several threads that you guys don't get along and was wondering if I was missing something cause I don't browse social media much. So basically there is a big disagreement on who knows best about engines right?
|
Lets move on and get back to mmb's documentation thread .
|
And keep the pics and videos coming. Love seeing all your projects
|
Napoleon complex much Geez! I'm sorry man you're right 1400 endurance on pump no is problem. You're the best and your cams are awesome. I love your Ronald McDonald boat, it's fantastic. I'm an idiot. Please carry on. I gotta go sign up my wife so she can chime in and help me out. Lol

Easy guys, we are all doing something we love, let's get along and save the hostility for the election:). Mmb says #6 s next. That's a good project.
|
I`m packing my bags cause I love Trump! I did not know he was deporting US citizens thou, I`ll have to look into that. Is he building a wall between the US and Czech Republic also? My cousins are going to be pissed! but man that`s going to be a long wall.:cool-smiley-011:
Endurance/Marine same thing , you were thinking just a dyno queen 10 second pull 1400 on pump gas? Yeah that should be no problem, my apologies. How am I pumping my chest calling your BS? Your eggshell ego just can`t handle a little ribbing and you blow your top with insults. Would a bowl of ice cream calm you down? Put a little extra whip cream on it and have your wife add a cherry.. It`s all good man!:eating: You could have just said hey Dan I think you`re a dope, there are plenty of guys running 1400hp on pump gas in their boats, There is John Doe #1, 2 and 3.. I would have have said wow, that`s great I did not know that! Good luck on your project! Have a sweet ass day buddy! |
I was thinking a lot of the cat guys run big power like that maybe i'm wrong??? Freedom, Gone Again, Pure Platinum Chief engines???
|
FYI Icded, I think we are going to change the name of our boat to "I'm loving It" Just for you buddy!!
|
I`m changing my boat name to Anchor motors. Better yet that`s a great name for a used car lot!!
ANCHOR MOTORS 'making cars great again!!' Or if I get deported: Motorový Kotva. "což opět vozy velká!!!" |
|
1400hp on pump gas is pretty common, the valvetrain doesnt have to change very much from 1000hp to 1400hp. Its the same RPM range. So I dont see any reason why it wouldnt be realiable in a marine engine with more cubes making the power not boost, at least to 150-200 hours when most people change lifters and refresh heads anyways...
Basically a few more cubes, way better heads than those that are normally used and the best blower you can get is what's responsible for all the extra power. Its not cheap, but no reason why it wouldnt be reliable to a point. Plus you would need darts blocks gm block isnt going to do it. Best rods and cranks money can buy etc. |
You had absolutely no problem bashing the hell out of me on mine.....

No i corrected your miss information so others would know that you have you to machine the lifter bores on dart blocks and open up the valve guides on afr/dart heads or at a bare minimum check them.
Otherwise you would have had people believe afr sent bad heads and the lifters were made out of spec. Facts were dart blocks are TIGHT and afr/dart doesn't machine new guides to any certain spec. Its all left on the user to check everything. This is why we go round and round... |
I don`t agree that 1400hp marine/endurance engine is possible to do reliably, unless you have 800ci + maybe.
10% ethanol pump gas can`t support that kind of combustion and not detonate. We can agree to disagree if you`d like or you can prove me wrong when you build em. |

Tommy is doing it.. I like it!
http://www.***************.com/chief...ush-hp-limits/ EDIT: cant post a link from power boat nation I guess .. Now, thanks to the continuing efforts from Tommy and his team you can get 1890 HP at 6200 RPM from these engines on C16 and 1576 at 6400 RPM on 93 Octane pump gas from the local station. This incredible accomplishment had been done with painstaking determination and drive from Tommy. If you remember he went from 1350/1550 to 1350/1740 after writing new code and mapping plus a new turbo and now 1575/1890 again after tons of work on a new map and fine tuning the cam shaft details. |
lol

First you said 1400 on pump gas I don't know the limitations of octane, cylinder pressure regiritated bs etc. Now it's endurance. Maybe you should stick to repairing A/C ... You didn't vote for trump did you? He is going to send your ass back home with the other immigrants, at least you can keep the A/C going on the banana boat!
|
Got me there???? guess your saying I am wrong about making 1400 on pump gas too?? This is the wrong thread to eat mild and iced's hogie roll
|
I look forward to seeing your engine project, and results. When do you think that will start? Or are you planning on the 6s first?
One more, why not Arnesons instead of 6s? I was kicking it around, but I really don't want to dump the $50K into an old boat, I'd rather build a kickass shop/garage behind the house and live with what I have in the boat now. |
We are putting up a 60'x24' garage in a few months! 6's will be the next project. My engines are pretty close to where they will be after 6's are installed (only moving down an inch or 2). Last guy got carried away with raising the x on this boat to the moon. That means my brand new trans just need the tail conversion and my brand new exhaust will also work!
New engines after these are worn out. Not in any hurry hopefully they last for years!! My wife loves this boat so we dont ever plan to sell it, new paint and interior will come eventually!! |
I see you are looking for another 420 blower, curious if something happened to yours? Just wondering if you found the limits of the 420 in your setup.
|
One of mine has always had a repaired (welded) set of rotors. That engine likes to stall while docking. Looking for a 420 so I can change out these repaired rotors.
Do you know of one for sale? |
I don't but I will keep my eyes open for one.
What is your theory on why a welded rotor is causing your stall condition while docking? |
