A few years ago I bought a replacement Dexter drop axle like Mild Thunder is mentioning from a Dexter dealer (any significant trailer repair center should be one) UPS'ed to my home for $150ish. Should be a little more now.

ron bender from JR marine took my trailer to a shop in columbus area for me when i snapped my axle off a few weeks ago. give him a shout and find out where it was. they did an outstanding job and very reasonable. and made the axles 2 inches wider so they fit under my fenders better.

Ok, had pretty flat water this weekend 1 foot chop overall... got a best so far of 69.4 with stbd engine 5500 port 5300 with 24P 3 blades that I have had....
engines made best power at 5200 on Dyno, need 25 Mirage plus's and a 3 foot chop... betting 72-73 will be where it stops...

Congratulations, that is right about what mine did last year (72-73) before it broke. I have ssm3 with 3 blades and no idea what pitch they are. I had a dead hole on one engine (freshened the whole thing) and just did the top end on the other, hope to have it runnin this week. I could only get either engine to go 4900. Im really hoping for 76-77 in optimum conditions and 52-5300 before working the props.540s 9:1 compr, ported Merlin 345 heads, dart intakes and 1050 dominators. Thanks for posting results
