she sold for 50,000 with the boat finished. the market is not as dead as everyone says it is. not disclosing the buyer BUT, any of you NJ guys will be able to see this boat running next season down near Pro Boat in jersey.
tommy, oh ive been busy! schools catching up to me, leaves are blowing so fall clean ups for my landscaping clients have had me swamped for the past 2 weeks. and my building i had lined up for 2 months fell through on friday i guess the seller wasnt able to move out and buy the bigger place he was hoping for so ive been on the phone with many people looking at buildings to purchase. might even be building one but its too late in the season for that and i have 3 boats to build this winter not including the customers paint jobs! how have you guys been! seems like some of yall have settled in for winter!

So, you sold it for 50k, but you have to install two hawk engines (which come at an unknown cost), that need to be gone thru (theres 10 grand unless its gonna be a slop job rebuild). You need to install two newer TRS drives (3-4 grand), install new livorsi dash (ill say 2 grand), Really should rebuild the tranny's while they are out, (ill go 1500 there), and I'm sure theres a few more contingencies ....plus labor, .........
Glad you finally made the sale, . I'm just trying to see where the big profits are? Sounds like you sold a 30k boat that needs 20g worth of work, for 50g. I am looking forward to seeing the boat progress from its current state.

Ehh, oh we'll.. That's probably where you guys should just quit wondering. I have a very happy client whose very excited to get the boat who wants to throw more business my way. So I'm happy as well. And your right, there may not be huge profit in this one.. But at least I learned the lesson of loosing my ass on a build with out loosing my ass. First boat was a learning curve. I'm sure the top gun will throw me more curves. But we'll just take it with stride and keep doing them. And for the hawks and TRS. I had the motors and the drives from another boat. So I'm just going to put a value to them, which he agreed upon which is putting mercury power into the top gun. There's a lot of offsetting costs and selling and swapping going on here. But when it's all said and done it should be a good day for my bank account. But that could go south pretty fast who knows
