boat was supposed to be in paint this weekend but the temp didnt hold and i found a few little things i needed to tweak in the body work where i had to fix a couple cracks. i didnt want to rush it into paint. hopefully in primer tomorrow night or tuesday. then paint mid week. wet sand/buff over the weekend. i dont know about you guys, but all this work that you guys think takes forever really doesn't, i sanded my boat in 2 days, did all the glass work in 1, sanding and filling took 2 days.. I can see why it only took you a few days now that its done stripping the boat takes the most time and i did that over the winter when it was cold in the shop. i just ASKED about if you could sand blast a motor assembled due to i havent done an assembled motor before... i think the only hold up on this boat is that ralph is taking for ever on the interior and wont return my calls. i found a local guy 5 mins away that does kick ass work and understands time frames so im going to use him from now on. and yes, my shop does not have heat yet, but you realize its spring time in NY right...its been 70 for the past month whats your point about no heat? were planning on insulating it and adding heat before the winter if i stay in this building. what do you think this is? alaska?
when you know what your doing with paint and body and how to do it efficiently it isnt a big task... what will take me the most time will probably be redoing my dash... oh ya and the trailers almost done too Came out great btw
its really not too hard to not tell these guys to eff off because once the boat is done, on or close to time frame AND my budget, none of them will have anything to say. my budget is right on track and i stand to make a 5 figure pay check easy. Nice, what you gonna do with that 5 figure check you easily got? my motors checked out 100% in the leak down. along with the vast amount of people who have PM'd me saying keep up the good work and not to worry about the D bags on this site who just jerk each other off when one guy has a problem 7 of their buddies jump on boat with them and end up just running people off. i am trying to make this a first class business down the road. make it my living. i never claimed to know everything but am very knowledgable. i learn quick and make connections. i already have a motor guy on speed dial who lives 2 miles from my shop and another guy who helps out who loves what im doing so much that they stop by just to see how its going. Im at my shop 7 nights a week till 2 am to get this done on time. every business starts somewhere and you would think having a young, educated guy with drive and talent and the bank account and connections to really have a shot at making a mark on the powerboat scene being a one stop shop for anything you want done to your boat, not going to a paint shop, then ship it to a rigging shop then to the motor guy, then fix the trailer while your there, people would be all over it. its just like politics, your not going to make everyone happy, always going to have someone who disagrees, like i said, i felt bad for the guy who missed out on the boat but i feel like this boat was far over his head Glad it went to a guy as experianced as you, and well within your talents and not his dumb azz and when he saw the boat in person he probably would have walked away. but yall have a nice night, i just got back from the shop. hitting the sack, gotta mow clients all day tomorrow then back at it.

Picking up the interior early next week. Headed out to Loto to get it. Yup. Dash will be red and molding some foot holds in for the passenger seating in a way if haven't seen before might be cool. Will pull a plug so I can remake if anyone wants them. New Livorsi custom gauges and senders in the mail as we'll and just got my valve covers back and my water pump delete in the mail yesterday too. I don't think I'll make the poker run. Might need another week to button it up after the 13th but I'm tryin like hell

And THAT is the heart of the matter right there. I gave him a lot of credit for his passion and enthusiasm until he posted something on FB right after the LOTO crash that took Mike Fiore's life that I found pretty offensive and it showed his lack of maturity and humility and from that point forward, I was done with him. It is that behavior that got this thread to 60+ pages. Unfortunately, the haters will hate no matter what, but he brought a lot of that on himself with the bluster and arrogance. I have not seen the boat in person nor do I really care to.. in the end, it will sell or not and no matter what is posted here, if the buyer doesn't do his own homework and know what he's buying, then that's really their problem.

Man dude you really don't give up... I told you I was doing the boat totally. Not just a quick paint and flip. What 30 year old boat doesn't have a crack here or there? And lack of pics because I'm too busy working on it than to argue with people like you or defend myself to someone whose just a hater. And the floor is out because I wanted to check the stringers and tanks. Both checked out fine

And so from the beginning it was stated this would be a heap, poor workmanship, and take longer then a month. Mine took 3 YEARS. Lil red know and a few others do to how long my cafe took and what the out come was.

Ya it's really really dirty in these pics. I got some over spray on it just a little by spraying my bolster stands I had the fans sucking out and didn't bag the boat so it needs a real good wash and wax. Should have nice HIGH RES photos By the end of the weekend. Going to throw a quick buff and wax on it Friday night after I pick it up and finally knock on wood get to enjoy it for a weekend. Not to get any one rialled up.. But I'm going to be asking $47,000 with a 20hr full warentee on the boat front to back. And a 2 year warrantee on the paint. Does the warranty work start before the boat leaves the shop? Again, these photos don't do anything justice, just posting them so y'all know she's almost finished. The dash came out pretty sweet. It sure did The original gauges totally take it to the retro phase IMO. I Think I hit this right on with updating and not going crazy but clean and simple. Not making this boat something it's not. Can't wait to post up pics and hear all the constructive critisim from all you guys! Hopefully with this first boat I will gain some respect from some of the few on here.

Hyfive I agree with you that the buy should make sure due dilagence is accounted for, but if everyone says awesome job Phil came out awesome Phil, excellent work Phil. Some one a few hundred miles away may consider and bring his boat there due to the family come ding him and supporting him. Only to find out it will look like a 5 year old and a crayon commercial gone completely wrong. I'm sure mistvwoukdcask for pics , past redos, current in process of. But a couple would go on the good faith of us that applaud this toilet yet only thing missing is the flush handle.
