Love this boat and Restore, One of the Classiest restores out there.
Doesn't hurt that I have a weak spot for the old widebody 36s. http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/...psb727024a.jpg http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/...ps50e47d26.jpg This is still my Favorite 36 though. Love the Old School boot stripe and windshield and the red deck is awesome http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3fffec40.jpg |

Kevin & Timmy, The boat looks nice can't wait to see it in person. Have a safe trip back talk to ya later!
Full Force, The Chief was perfect, I had to just make it my own. I'm confident in my masculinity however the pink was making me walk a fine line lol! I'll post picks soon if interested. |
I was looking at the chief years ago. Great boat at a steal when I saw it. But I'm happy where I'm at with a bayliner
Hopefully my bondo will last longer then Phil's lifting blistered boat |
|
Midas apache! Bad azz! Did someone buy it from the guy over seas? I thought Lipship just did some work on it recently.
|
Hey tank... cig92 and I bought the boat.
|
Congratulations Tim, I am very happy for you guys. This boat is big time, can't wait to see what you guys do with it.

That is the boat that made me fall in love with The 41 apache, best riding boat I ever been on.... Clifford was right there, but Clifford was full of bulkheads like Tim's apache... Best two boats for though water in my opinion Send some pics of The Chief when you are done please |

Did you guys but it from the guy over seas? It was over in Germany (I think) for a bunch of years. Came back a few years ago and needed a lot of cosmetic and engine work. Pretty sure Phil (Lipship) got it and addressed the issues. Not a full Lipship redo just helping the owner fix some things. Boats bad. In a pretty major scene of the movie all about the Benjamin's. :D |

That 41 had 3As and 850? If I remember that correct. Again it was a few years ago when I saw it listed on OSO.

Wow, that will be one baddass machine! I just couldn't stomach spending for #6s on this hull, and I did consider it I told myself it would be time to move to a better hull before I did that, newer boat, or something else like a big Sport Fisher. Did you consider Arnesons? I did, but it was about the same as #6s, and was told the handling wasn't as good on the hulls as SSMs.
I do not think Konrads would have lasted behind 1050-1100 hp the way I would like to drive it. They would have lasted with what I had, with the 8-71s, but not now, too much torque. I want to be able to abuse this thing and enjoy it, not keep it in the water. Good luck with the build, post up pictures or add to your other thread, love the detail and explanations. I could probably up the power with bigger carbs, more fuel/boost, etc. Not sure if they will crank 1500hp. But aren't you going to have to run super high octane? Or just monster cubes, turbos, what? Details please....... |

Details please....... They will be 93 octane up to 1500 & 1800+ with race fuel! I wanted a newer boat but the wife loves this thing so we plan to keep it for a long time! Engines are 588ci, Tall Blocks with all Calies USA parts in them & Brodix Head Hunter Heads. We are going EFI with Quad Rotor Whipples. Plan to get the engines built first then work on finding some 6's! |
1500's!!!! Jesus! In a straight bottom Cig? :D
Seriously though, What point do you run out of hull with a straight bottom Top Gun? Has anyone ever put that much power in one? |
I would rather have a top gun than a mistress!!! Not to mention I also have two daughters and I would never post their pics on this website! Maybe I would if they were my step daughters!!RBPO!!!
