This is what im working with currently. I need 6-7" more. Im not sure the rounded style scoops will blend in well with my hull. I cant really build the entire hatches up that far, it would look ridiculous.[IMG][/IMG]

What the hell you going with 20" high blowers? LOL

can you just continue the fronts slope and raise the whole top half up more? hard to explain what I am trying to say ..

#3 sets the engines up high, blower and intercooler adds 12" over current combo!

Are the Mistresses hulls/gunnel lower than a 38' model of comparable era?

Here is an option, go fuel injected & whipples?

They must be, if I added an intercooler I`d still have 4" of room left.

I fear that I went overboard on the scoops for my setup, like there will be 5-6" of clearance from flame arrestor to inside of scoop. I.E. alot of wasted space and tall scoops sticking up. Oh well, Dave is the glassmaster and we can always cut them down.....

The gunnel on a mistress is super low.... Most guys have exhaust issues too, luckily someone modified my boat for all that, I still have height issues with flame arrestors though. the center and sides were cut for space and made 1 big hatch..

The flat decks have that additional 6" bump up all the way around that helps with engine heights. Scoops, building taller hatches, or building big N.A power rather than blowers would be my three options. You can always spend the extra time and money and build up the top deck like a flat deck to.
