So, what was the hang up with the distributors?

Shim the distributor.....thats easy....tell me about the excursion.....7.3 I assume?

had to be that he milled intakes... the pro comps must have been a different height or god only knows what, Shimmed, checked oil shaft and teeth engagement... all good.... I even talked to MSD and Dart they agree the intake had to have been milled....

Glad you figgured it out. Not really seeing how adding a shim and making the dustributir even longer closed up a 1/4" gap. But glad you have it sorted out!!
