You want to lay a long straight edge along the actual running surface of the bottom, directly in front of the drives. Then see how far below the prop shaft centerline is below that with the drive trimmed parralell to the straight edge.
On some boats, especially heavy older fee bottoms, you have to be careful not to go too high with the propshaft height. You may end up losing a substantial amount of cruise speed, and some cases top speed if the boat can't carry the bow.
This is where ext boxes come into play.
Boat looks great BTW. Esp the motors .

Totally different boat but Mine was 5 1/2 lower and I went from Bmax to full SCX that raised it 3 inches because Bmax had 1 inch spacer. 4 blade prop was terrible w tons of slip but 5 blade Maximus got me the same top speed as my old setup but WAAAAAY better cruise speed.

Does anybody know where I can pick up a 2.5" or 3" bravo 1 drive spacer? My X dimention is just shy of 3" high (which is why I have so much prop ventalation) and I don't want to spend a fortune on a new spacer so If you have one sitting on your work bench and want to let it go for a fair price... let me know.
