Would love to have this boat on LOTO. Rode with Kelly last fall at Harbor Hop on his Tiger and they just eat that lake up. GLWTS!

The very first thing that came up on Facebook today when I opened it was the ad for your boat. Before I came to this site.

Got to run in Tiki lees shootout, my 2 passes were 90 and 92 respectively on a 3/4 mile course.. i was heavy on fuel from my own miscalculation the day before. but im still happy with results for a supposed "old" hull... speed by the start boat was 50 max, i went through each time at about 45. sorry for the vid quality... bill at wmf took it while waiting to run his mti

Cool boat man. What are you dreaming up next?
Can you compare the ride of a step vs non-step hull 42 Tiger? |

The twin stepped hulls do everything better than a flat antiquated bottom. Plane easier, crush waves the same if you trim it in (same entry as a non stepped boat) and have way better to end. The only reason somebody wouldn’t buy a TS over a straight bottom is the size of their wallet. You can buy straight bottoms for about half the price…

I owned a 2001 42 Tiger with the twin step. Good boat but you better know how to drive it if you want to go over 90mph. The steps were in the wrong spot and to big. Cigarette tried change them around with the relief and by staggering. They were not the best designs let’s face it. As far as straight vs step goes Offshoredrillin I would rather be a straight bottom Tiger at 100mph then my twin step. That boat came out bad a$$. I think the best argument on step vs.non step is resale and that’s because of what everyone posts not just because it’s better. In fact in many cases the step boat becomes a dangerous weapon in the wrong hands. Not sure of any spin outs in straight bottoms but I have seen tons in all the step boats. Just saying both have there place.
