Stay with the 3 blades. A 4 blade with the deep "X" from Cigarette will kill your performance. Slow out of the hole, might see a little more mid range but will hurt the top end unless you are really killing it in 2-3's.

And if there are a lot of people here that boat at PIB ?

Pib= mostly tourist jersey shore guys starting chit. And with the bars as packed as they get it’s not fun for me to hang out in a bar that you can’t walk through or take a half an hour to get a drink, put in bay is great before memorial day and after Labor Day

You don't have to go to Ed's or the round house, there are other bars. Joe's is always good, Topsy Turvey is good, the fish bowl is usually not jam packed and the beer barrel is always good. I don't know where you go that it takes 30 minutes to get a drink? Lol

and dockage is an issue there unless you go all weekend you can barely get in, rarely can you just go for a few hours, at Casino I can come and go all day long....

Once ......haha

Justin has a good set up going to the bay. I always docked at the first set of docks east of the boardwalk. Not by choice just where we ended up. And I don' like to leave myboat. Had a girl walk across my sundeck in high heels on my old boat poking holes all the way across I thought I was going to kill her. The guy she was with didn't even care just wanted to get to the bar.

1989mach1 12-04-2017 04:08 PM

If pib was back to like it was in the 90s. We would probably be there at least once or twice a month. Was fun back then when 90% of people there where locals and boaters . Just my opinion. You can all hate me now too lol

1989mach1 12-04-2017 04:08 PM

Then again what do I know my boat never leaves the dock soooooo

runafever 12-04-2017 04:14 PM

Get a membership to Park Place. You will never park in General pop again I assure you.

been there and I will go to pib if I get a spot there, I can’t see paying 600+ for a membership and still not be guarantee a dock, also for the 4-5 times a year I even go it is just not worth it to me, if I wanted to go to PIB every weekend then I would probably do that, I like to go wherever... I don’t make many plans just wing it.

A comment about Kelly’s vs PIB from a buddy a few years ago, and why we love it there so much... over PIB

"I kept thinking about your comment for a few days and how to reply with out sounding like a DB....... I know I will screw it up but, I will give it a try... I think why Kelleys has the most go fast boats to me is because its all about boating. The history of the Casino (Jaws) and the location of the harbor is just the underlying reason. To me why I think most go fast boats go there is due to the entertainment. Its not the bands and bars full of bachelor/bachelorette parties but its the boaters itself... Its the place were you hang with your friends you only see in the summer. Its the place were you meet other go fast junkies. Its were you can shoot the sh*t with each other and lye about who is faster. Its very similar to OSO but its in real time. To me the best part is drive bys. Gotta love the seeing the boats roll in hammer down before turning into the harbor. I love the bay but, you just dont get that experience while sitting in a hotel urinal bowl pool. "

You do realize you don't have a "Hawk" top gun, there were only 2, you have a top gun with Hawk engines.. not saying its a bad thing, but there is a difference, just like painting a gun with 90mph paint doesn't make it one of the 5.

correct, still the same setup overall. Still not a Trs 420 Gun.... I love how everyone just must pick apart anything I post.... cracks me up.

Best part is this was one of “the dealer” boats, cool history, had white dash, and pearl interior.. getting pics soon from when it was new so I can return back the the way it came when I redo the interior, has the pearl still, was redone in 2001.

The casino is like the bar from the show cheers. It's nice to go where everybody knows your name

vintage chromoly 12-07-2017 05:06 PM

I have to agree.
KI is definitely the place to go if you're into fast boats.
I haven't been to PIB in years and have little desire to return.

Would really like to see the original colors, especially the pearl interior. Please post the pics when you get them.

getting more info on my boat, was bought by A guy in Michigan city before Ed (guy I got it from) was a repo boat in 1988 ish had a bad engine, Kirby’s uncle bought it and had for a season or so, sold to Ed... trying to get more pics and he sent me more, so cool to trace this boat back!! Had 600 hp hawk engines factory, ran 73-75 mph, had pearl interior (want them pics to have it redone right) waiting for more pics I hope I can get

frickstyle 01-31-2018 03:26 PM

Yes, guys kept telling e on FB I was wrong, I said this boat was never messed with!! but I plan to improve it...

Eliminated572 02-10-2018 07:22 PM

Well yeah, it’s going to have history, like any other 31 y/o boat. Enjoy the refurbishing. Going to upgrade the drives? Heat shrink the wiring behind the dash since you have it apart (update). Have any speed goals with this one?

most 31 year old boats were not owned and represented by Ralph Martin... so yes I think that’s pretty cool.

Why would inupgrade drives? TRS to SSMIII Iis upgraded, at least to me it is...

not redoing dash connections as there is no need to.

Speed goals.. 70+ Turn key....

i appreciate you trying to stir the pot (given history of us) but I’m over it... if people want to follow my thread fine, if not... move past it.
