So looking for thoughts. My engines are done. They are mercury racing 575s they have all redone heads ,bigger cam brand new blower shop 8-71s and carbs on them all new wiring and ignition run really well I’m guessing 750hp range. They are drop in ready to roll. A rare opportunity came up to purchase a set of brand new mercury racing 565s. These are left over 2022 engines and the price is let’s just say very competitive. They have a I believe a 2 year warranty. Know I would lose some mph. And would have to sell my engines what would your thoughts be? My only thought is my boat is brand new every screw every wire every pump not one thing was left untouched would brand new power add to the end product or is the blower power better fit the boat ? Last question is what would my current engines bring ?

Depends on what you’re going for. Modern or nostalgia. Myself, I’d probably go for the 565s. They’re sweet motors. But then there’s the rigging you’re going to have to upgrade with them as well. DTS controls etc. Annnnd if you have to replace something, it’s not an autozone part.

If you're thinking about resale, which you shouldn’t because you won’t get close to what you have in this thing already, some 565s and bravos on it would bring more/sell quicker than rebuilt hopped up 575s. Imo

What you can get for the 575s is a tough question. All depends on who’s looking and when. If you have the moneys in them already, just go with them. ???

If I do the 565s I would keep my transmissions and drives all the paint work and transom is done I don’t want to go down that road again. I would definitely loose prolly 8-10 mph but might gain the zero tinkering aspect.
