much to the horror of some, we dunked in the pacific today for the maiden ocean run. Ran to Ventura for lunch, out to
anacapa island but it was socked in. Couple hot laps, harbor cruise. Good day.

the trailer made it just fine too. Still
shiny!!

Even the bunk supports?

that is normally where they will rust, hard to flush them.

I used to carry one of those cheap lawn tanks you pump up and after launching spray the trailer with salt away, water mix before I would get into boat and leave.

yeah, the supports are just angled steel. No boxing anywhere.

the garden sprayer is a great idea. I just pull up to the wash and have a mixer of salt away ready to go. Feed the quarters in and spray down the trailer after launching. Then when back spray whole boat and trailer down with salt away plus flush motors with it too. I’ve been using that stuff for 30 years. Big fan. It works well.

That is great they are not boxed, if there are not bad scratches should be able to make it last, just more work.

Ocean running is great, as I live by the Jersey shore and enjoy running my 35 cig, but it comes with the knowledge of the hungry salt appetite that inevitably eats & destroys.
went through 2 sets of expensive Powerflow Plus Manifolds due to salt eating away the aluminum casting walls...at wide open running, both manifolds broke open, if I had
shut it down I would,ve hydrolocked an engine or both...until I get closed cooling I run fresh water lakes.....nothing like the ocean atop 3's ...but in my opinion at a cost.
Your paint scheme almost looks like mine ........'82 hull, but refit in '95

Actually, I was referring to Scotty Chatham's 38' paint scheme to mine...old and confused! Lol

Product push - was told to try this white diamond polish by a few people. Stuff is the bomb!! Hit the props with it today. Easy on. Buff with soft terry cloth and then finish with ultra soft micro fiber.

can’t wait to hit motors with it.

first pic is before. Others are after.

highly recommend.
