Yes, the one that's sold is the one I was talking about.....

That seemed to be a smokin' deal!
It belonged to a member here for a long time. Think he sold it to the studio for this movie.

Side note, wonder what the movie was all about or when it'll be out. The kid from Stranger things is shown seated in the passenger seat of one of the photos.

Update: Did a little research and the boat was used in a indy project movie called Omniboat: A Fast Boat Fantasia. Roughly following this boats "life". I'll watch it even though it sounds a bit trippy.

Is that caulk around the transom assembly? Usually a red flag for me.

The white line around the tabs and drives? At first I thought it was taped off where his antifoul stopped. Zoom in, looks like sealant which doesn't inspire confidence.

The bottom paint itself should be a non-starter.

I agree with the bottom paint comment but not the sealant comment . When ever I install a gimbal I always use some sealant . If your transom is not perfectly flat it will leak over time and I HATE leaks . I have never owned a bravo boat 1 TRS and the rest SSM boats . To date none of the boats I put together have Leaked around the gimbal or tabs . Rick .

That sealant job looks hideous.

A light coat of clear silicone sealant on the face of the transom assembly is one thing... A huge glob of white caulk around the edge is another.

per mercruiser...it’s supposed to go on dry.

1Moses1 you are correct they are suppose to on dry . And a new hull that is true that works . On a 1980’s hull that is far from perfect I say good luck unless you have the time , resources and energy to make sure the surface is perfecting true . Your call . R G

Hi Thisistank (or is it just Tank):

I see you've had both a Cafe Racer and a Top Gun. I have looked at both an '88 Cafe Racer and an '89 Top Gun. Which of these models did you like the best?

Will you be on Nacimiento for Memorial Day weekend? The main marina and launch ramp may still be closed but if you use the Oak Shores or Heritage ramp, the lake is open. We'll all look pretty funny floating around with masks on
