Transom ideas .
#1

Redoing the transom, looking for ideas while this $hit is apart .
So far my plan is :
1. Remount tabs horizontal.
2. repaint drives/boxes/gimbals etc etc . Or maybe powdercoat ?(not the drives)
3. polish and ceracoat clear all the stainless
4. more underwater lights
5, powdercoat or paint swim platform.
6. repaint transom.
7. inside of transom paint black along with the entire bilge floor.
8. smooth the sides of bilge if cost is right
9. New pickups
8. repowdercoat exhaust and manifolds
9. Move transom assemblies lower 1-2" so I don`t have to use spacers.
?????
Rick do you have boxes? I got this thing set up pretty good, no hop . I`d hate to change that up and make it worse.
The notch does not look so easy to do . My guy is good but also busy, not sure if he`d be up for it .
Best manners are about 2-2.5" below bottom. Right now I`m bout an inch down, my boxes are adjustable fyi. 3" either way in total.

Wow what a difference a month makes,
But why paint the bilge black? I know it hides leaks but your whole boat looks great updated and that would go back to looking old school.
Plus the white just made the motors look so much better. yes harder to keep clean but sure looks better plus reflects better with some led lights in the compartment

#6s? That’d blow the budget thing outta the water but it’d really clean up the hydraulics and lines etc. I agree with above on white vs black bilge. Black almost hides too much.

Its not that big of a deal the hardest part is the motor mounts and that's not that hard. The motors move back in the boat you will need new transmissions unless you find boxes for the 6s. We did a number 3 boat to Sixes a few years ago and we didn't even have to plug the hole transom.
