Well, I NEVER thought it would escalate to this, but we are NOTCHED!

after going and back and forth on the idea, I figured that IF there was going to be a time, this would be it. So after taking measurements from the Apache next it, we have a notched transom. The new center stringer was almost perfectly made for it.

Good for you !! Not too many would go this far !.... but I will say, my 1992 Bullet with the notch was noticeably faster than my current 1988 Bullet with no notch, with similar power. That "cleaner" water apparently makes a diff. Adding a pair of blowers to the 88' took care of that difference, but the notch works!

You get a longer lever for the propeller to lift the bow.

Pushing the end of the bottom of the boat forward puts the propellers in "less disturbed"(water with air bubbles) water and cuts down on prop slip.

Wow, you have the gas pedal on the floor on this project. Love it.

Kreed,
Generally speaking, is there any loss on ride quality in rough water with a notch? Do you notice any other differences? Just curious.

I would assume the ride quality would be fine, it still has a 24 degree bottom. Right?
