you should be fine, the unwritten rule is every 12 inches changes the height by an inch, unless its a raised box it wont change it, the ITS sets it straight back about 8 inches, so your only about 5/8s of an inch different, on plane it will be the same height, just further back, down a bit at idle so deeper.

I thought the ITS would raise the drive height since the transom assembly bolt holes were about 2" higher than the mounting holes to the transom.

they had to be made bigger and beefier as it housed all the steering, the bolt holes being in a diff spot are because of the size. I was always told all it did was set the drive back 8 inches in neutral position. it was developed by merc as to not use outside hydraulic steering. Same as they had on the 6's just a cleaner set up. when i had one on my 20, i had the x dim at 17 3/4, prop shaft was in the same spot.

Thanks guys, its been a labor of love for sure

Jim, you totally resurrected that boat, I remember when it was for sale and the listing gave it no justice.. getting to see it at the cig run a year or to back was a highlight. That thing just looks awesome!

With the angle of the boat at float any set back will put the prop a little deeper, mine gets on plane easy, what props are you gonna run Jim

I'm thinking of starting with a 4-blade 30P

Very nice job on this one with all the work you've put in. I'd consider using a 5 blade 28p Maximus on your setup. If you decide to upgrade your drives anytime soon, I have a pair of mint SCX's with DD lowers with less than 30hrs I'm taking off of my AT for a swap to Arneson's I look forward to seeing the finished product this summer.

mine were at 850ish in the beginning an i ran a 30p b1, i turn in though. when i put on the party pullies, i went up to 32 4 blade and ran a 30 maximus as well, all around the 4 blade gave better results, the maximus was great but ran out of steam at 92ish, the 4 blade went to 95ish..

That's probably good intel. 30p 4 blade is an all around great prop on these boats. The 5 blade - I would be cautious of the wear it will put on those drives. Then, borrow a set of 32s to try from BBlades.
