Nice boats. I think I favor the team virgin scheme but with burgandy in place of yellow.
Any one know the name and # of a very thorough, reliable surveyor in the Miami, Ft. lauderdale area?

Let me pose another question to you. Say I wanted to buy a boat from a factory that had no dealer within 1000 miles of me. I wanted to order the boat specifically to my specifications. It takes about 2-3 hours at the most for the dealer to process the order. The boat is delivered to me, I never see or contact the dealer again due to geographical distance.
What is a reasonable fee for that service? Dealer cost plus?? 5K 10K?? more?

Thanks Lucky
GLH; Noted.
I was posing the question mostly due to my lack of knowledge in this area. I have owned two boats. A Warlock and Fountain. Both custom ordered exactly to my specs, both heavily modified once in my possession (mostly powerplant changes although the Fountain required a lot of "fixing").
Both boats were ordered through dealers that were great to work with. Both made money on the deals and both are what I would consider friends to this day. Fountain has a large network of dealers and it is not hard to negotiate with them. Again the advantage for them is a pre-sold boat, no gamble on picking the right paint, flooring and advertising, test drives etc.
I really appreciate everyones perspective. Obviously I am sweet on the Gladiator although there are a few other makes out there I would consider. Your earlier posts about depreciation are still ringing in my head. I took a big hit on my first two boats.
I just need to get some response out there for some of the private parties advertising their boats!
