I have the same problem! I have probably 10 or so just sitting against the wall right now. My fun room at the lakehouse is covered in pictures and flags. I have some on the walls in my office in Tulsa. Most of my old ad's and brochures are in plastic sleeves in a binder. It's about to explode too. Always looking for more, can't have enough! |

I have a 1981 33 foot Cigarette that I have problems finding information on. I was told when I brought it that it was one of the last DEA boats. Do you have any information on that? Thanks for any help

Brandon,
What an incredible collection! On post 19 there is an article on the 90 MPH model. That is the model boat I have. Where is that article written? I would like to track it down. Thanks. Frank |

Frank Frank: It was from the July 1989 issue of Motor Boating & Sailing. Boating magazine did an article as well but I don't have it with me right now. I'll try to remember to look this weekend at the lake. |

Could you please provide me with some info? One of the images you have posted shows a magazine article reviewing (3) three Cigarettes, a 31 Bullet, a 35 Cafe Racer and a 38 Top Gun on the same page. I believe it is in the 'Apache image' section. I currently own the 38 Top Gun on the bottom of the page. I know I was the original Top Gun factory demo boat in 1987 and owned by Jeff Friedman, who bought Cigarette from Don Aronow. Nice to see it in print. What magazine and issue did this article appear in? I'd like to try and find a clean copy of that magazine for my collection. Thanks, orig tg demo Dear "orig tg demo"! I saw that you seems to own an Cigarette TG Hawk (1988?). I also own one of these here in Finland. My was sold new in Sweden and is in very good original shape. It has 600hp Hawk 540 cuin, SSM III, Latham steering, Stelling headers, Kevlar hull, red leather interior and more. I am going to keep it original and restoring it where needed. I have recently found an poster of my boat when it was new. I shall get it scanned by an repro company soon. Please tell me more what you know about these Hawk Cigarettes, how many was made?, I am looking for orginal catalogs and more. See my boat here: http://www.offshoreonly.com/gallery/...oto=8252&cat=2 Thanks pokerrunsaland.com |

I love the colors from the 91 catalog- now i can see the color choices for my boat.
On the Hawk brochure it says the 525SC is a 502 block. I've read that the Hawk 525 is a 454? |

A freind of my family bought that boat from the Nordskog family and i rode it before and after resto. It hasn't been in the water since he sold and that was over 5 or 6 years ago. It needs some TLC again. how did that boat handle? do you remember what its top speed was. do you know what kind of records it held? |
Ran just a tad over 100mph and it rocked. I know it holds the record from Canada to Mexico non-stop. I think in total it can hold 800 gallons of fuel.
|
yeah i would think it would run over 100 easy since there is no interior or anything on the boat. i guess the fuel adds alot of weight. you think it still holds any of the records? i hear nordskog did a few records in it but i cant find anything about his accomplishments online.
