When you got the boat, was it still painted in Kaama colors? As I recall, Betty sold her last Scarab to Ron Hirshberg. He kept the Kaama colors, but changed the name to Revenge. He was in the clothing manufacturing business. He got a contract with Addias to make socks. He then painted the boat a light yellow, and named it Soxcess. I was the crew chief on the boat. He later passed away. I was wondering, if you have the same boat?
Always been a big fan of Betty Cook and her boats. About 10 years ago, Channel Marine in Laconia, NH (Lake Winnipesaukee) had the "Soxcess" Scarab for sale. They mentioned the owner passed away and if I remember correctly, the boat was donated to charity. It was a bad azz rig, I wish I knew the history of it back then.
Anyone know where Soxcess is now?

I met bulldog at the launch last year when i first got my scout. I know he lives in abita springs louisiana and he gets on here from time to time. He said he has not touched the boat in a while if i remember correctly. If i knew his name i would look up his phone number for you.

I know these are old posts, but I am new to the site and thought I would chime in... Those days of KAAMA and Betty's dominance in the sport were a great part of my youth and growing up. My father use to build the engine heads on those awesome boats. I spent a lot of time growing up drawing pictures of those scarabs and cat. GREAT TIMES...
