Preliminary ramblings to qualify for uploading original photos of ‘The CIGARETTE’ - 10/10

One thing that stands out in the backdrop of the photos at St Kilda Marina - especially to a Melburnian - is how quiet and uncrowded the area was then. Yet one more thing to miss about those times.

Great pics, I’m a Melbourne boy who spent a lot of years owning boats in St Kilda Marina and boating all over Port Phillip Bay.
Keep posting pics if you’ve got ‘em, great memories. 🙂

Fantastic photos of such high quality for the time. Really like the other famous diverse boats that competed. Thank You very much for sharing. I do like those little Dancraft 17 boats.

In pic # 114 are they both 36 widebody cigs?

The Cigarette is a 32' and ex. Tom Genry's American Eagle is a 36'.
