Beyond ten years ago I saw what to me it had seemed to be the former Black Tornado 32' of Balestrieri.
The picture was taken in Viareggio during one of the last editions of the Viareggio-Bastia-Viareggio.
The deck was modified and it had been put a windshield.

I thought Balestrieri put a new deck on the other one and sold it back to the US and it was raced under The Little Cigarette name late seventies?

Thanks Robert......SEARACE the book, had to travel along way to get to you...I'm glad it made it in good shape.

The newly found copies are selling out fast...all over the world as everyone can see.

Get these books while they are still available for the old 1989 price of $69.95...... or wait and get them in the future on e-bay for $600 like the King of Thunderboat Row is selling for.

Sad that such a piece of history is lost.

I just placed the order for my copy of Searace. It will sit nicely (after being read) next to my copy of The King of Thunderboat Row.
