Interesting! A never seen version of that Gara 40' Copper Kettle.
Look in the second pic the typical and nice pants of Satullo.
The two photos that you have put they are of the new Gara 40' only. Any image of the "old" Copper Kettle 36'?

It's no good - however much I adore the Bertram 38 I keep falling in love again every time I see one of the old 36 widebodies! The shape is simply awesome.

I want to ask a question or two.

Are all the 36's widebodies, even the pleasure versions?

I remember many of these boats (throughout the whole thread) at Point Pleasant and they used to bring some of them down to Zuback's in Morgan, NJ to use as a place to work. Zuback's was the old Henry Luhrs plant.

No, real reason just want to know.

Also, does anyone remember a Cigarette from Mauro Motors (Tommy Mauro) in Woodbridge, NJ? It was an triple outboard race boat. The story was Don used to buy cars from Tommy's father, hence a relationship and built him the boat? I don't know what size it was, it was lime green & orange?

Here in Detroit the RED WINGS are always in the news, but I haven't heard anything about Art Norris. This ad is from the mid 70,s.

Another boat from the way back, a sport class BENIHANA. Anyone remember this one ???

This 30 ft Ghost was built for Rocky A for the 1972 Miami Nassau Race, which was Rocky's first Offshore adventure. The actual boat was at the 1971 Miami Boat Show and one prime visitor was Muhammed Ali who said he would buy one if he won the Frazier fight in Miami at that time. He won but failed to place an order ! The boat was piloted by Barry Cohen and mechanic duties by Jack Schliech of Travelers Marine in Freeport NY. We stuck Rocky in between us and rocketed to a first place overall in Sports and 3rd overall in the Open Class. Red Crise was very surprised!! The boat is patterned after Ghost Rider 1966 Undefeated World Champion.
Ghost/S is 30loa, 8ft beam, twin 500hp 486 Mercruisers,400 gal capacity, Hydraulic trims.Now get this one spec......wgt 6500lbs.
We really ran offshore in those days..........

Happy Christmas to all you sports fans...........
