Can you give us a little background on the boat ? I like the clean look without all the rails and vents but the teak remains.Nice color too Kinda of like a modern looking oldschool.

If you could find a pair of old 470s to rebuild that might be an option. They are a all aliminuim inline 4 if i remember right that put out a 170 horse.

Looks Good I will be interested to follow your project .Where you located Sunset and welcome to OSO

Thank you for all the positive feedback. I purchased the boat last December from a older gentleman who was the original owner, it was his wives boat called RUTHY BABY. It was white with a red boot strip. Every thing on the boat was from 1972 amazing shape for a salt water boat. I did all the work myself outside of shooting the paint to dirty in my friends barn. The boat is now in Atlantic City, NJ.

I was thinking the same thing with the 470's I believe they were more like 190 horse with the 4 barrel option:eek:

I had one in a 19' searay and it ran great, I believe there is a place in CT that specializes in them. Tey would be lightweight, and pust that thing better than inline 6's

That is absolutely the coolest boat! I looked at it a couple years ago, I bet you will enjoy it for a long time. Good luck! :ernaehrung004: If you ever want to get rid of it I`ll trade you a Sonic.

Just finished having a beer with my buddy and got b.s.ing about 6s being that i had a 300 -6 in a old Bronco and he had a Jeep with a 6 .He was telling me about the Clifford head and 4 barrel intake he put on it and said they were not kidding about 6 was now 8.

I remember thoses old 6s of my dads winding at full throttle ,they sound like Singer sewing machines running on 220.You would have to skip the thru hull because they would sound like an old milk truck but the enginge room sound at throttle is nice.
