1972 24ft Cigarette, Looking for the top speed of the boat when it was new with twin inline 6's, 165 HP. alpha drives.

My dad owned a 26 Monza that he bought instead of the 24 Cigarette back in 72 that had the twin 6's in it.If it did 48 i think that would be pushing it.

Do you have more pics of your 24 Cigarette ? This one sits a couple miles from my house>old man owns it and it is very origial even the car seats that are in it

Thanks for the reply. Here are several pictures of the boat. Just pulled out the inline 6's and the Alpha drives off. Looking to repower and have not made up my mind which way to go.

That thing looks hot.Kind of looks like the windshield is back further than stock.
Could you resize your photos to like 1300 pixels and relaod so i can see them better |
Why not go with twin smallblocks if the drives are mounted apart far enough.We later had stock 260s in the 26 and it ran about 63mph.Some hot 350s would get you 70-75.

The boat is set up for inline blocks will have to reglass to replace with
V-blocks. Thinking of going with mercs new 135hp inline, like to keep it old School and cost. This is the reason why I was looking for top speed as new. |
That thing is fuccing cool....Leave it as old school as you can......
