Thanks for all the information. I have made up my mind not to reglass for a single setup, going forward with all new inline motors and Alpha drives. Looking to keep this boat more sporty than speedy, no one loves big speed more than me but I have had a long run with some amazing offshore rides this one going to be my gentleman's ride..

Hey, I had a 1971 Hull#2- 28 Standard Cigarette I restored W Twin Six cylinder Marine Power chevys rated @200 each. Boat ran 48 on GPS.The twin 6s were a great power setup for this boat.

Hi Tommymonza, nice old school pics of the Monza. I have a 26 footer but she is outfitted with the center console cap. Actually, it is an 89 hull that belonged to Eloy the guy who owned Monza. Back then he had the offshore cap on it. He re did the entire boat with a center console cap. Funny how the lines haven't changed much.

Love the boat, just wish there were more out there.
