Well got the holes epoxied over yesterday. Heading down in a bit to sand them smooth, hit them with one more coat of epoxy to make sure they are back smooth with the sides. Hoping to have the sides primererd by early week. Going to use keystone 3 in 1. Have had great results with it, a ton of guys seem to love the stuff. Also using WEST SYSTEMS SIX 10 to fill the holes. This stuff works really well, is easy to use.

Ask your Dad about "Marine Tek"...we used to use it for jobs like this "Back in the Day". I guess SIX 10 replaces that as the do all for this kind of job. I haven't used it yet but I hear that it's the $hit for a job like this.
John,jr...one thing about you and your Dad...you guys aren't sitting on the side lines watching...you're in the game!!

Hey thanks. We are trying are best LOL. We could have had the other fountain going but, this boat is neater IMO, has some history in our area. Will have to post pics up tom. Got the cracks all filled, now just have to block them out smooth again with the hull sides. Debating now if we are just going to paint the complete boat. Once that is finished it is basically ready to drop the power in. I have heard of the marine tek you speak of. My dad saw this six 10 advertised in a boating mag, decided to give it a shot. It is what was used to do the transom in my 202 stinger, had great results with it. Super strong, sands fairly easy.

Well not in primer yet, decided to smooth 2 more holes in the side of the boat. Also a look inside. Damn this boat is laid up light LOL. It's solid in the rites spots, were still thinking it's kevlar
Added some matting inside after I cleaned it up. Should be all ready to go by tom eve. Also mixed up some west system, micro bubbles/filler, got it rite where it needs to be, then a tiny skim coat of of mud/primer, then block out with the rest of the hull.
Should have the plugs glass in and filled tom also..Slow but sure. hahah

About a 16/th gap

Also a cool thing that has been with the boat along time, I will prob keep it rite where it is( boats old name)

More to come

Yeah.... same guy
my Fountain is laid up the same. . . . Top and bottom are glassed together, but not as pretty. I've got a 27ft, and after the recent poker run that was a little over 100 miles, . . . . I'm wanting something a little bigger

Two brothers owned it in the early 90's. They were home builders and part time racers. Used to go on Full Tilt Marine rally's with us back in the day. Will see if I can find old pics. If you need their names I think I can get them foe you.
