You get some props in hand that work well and Samantha has a new pic taker that can get the job done. We have shot that black boat before.

Birds of a feather! Get busy!

Sorry my azz, them Biotches growl! Never expected that from an outboard.

SUPERSTITIOUS 07-26-2019 10:13 PM

Yeah I meant to ask how they sounded. Sweet I’m sure!!

Cary 29 07-27-2019 07:41 AM

They are quiet but then a little throaty compared to the 2 strokes. Very smooth, way torquey compared to the XS and very smooth shifting.

That’s what I’m talking about! Just the fix I needed at work today! Looking excellent minus the red graphics on the cowls. The only way to top that would be a sweet sound track Of those babies purring at speed:cool-smiley-027:

You have failed to report in on the propprogress, so wazzup?

I've been out twice now, last Sunday to the bay and had a few little things to correct, Saw Uncle Tom at HBW. Then again today after making a few tweeks yesterday, have 4.0 hours on them now and today was flawless. Drives and engines still need some time to loosen up but it felt real strong, might run a number better than ever once they settle in.

Cary 29 08-12-2019 06:39 PM

Hey Peter I was going to try to get a hold of you. Been really busy with work and million other things. Props finally showed up last Thursday with no hubs.... He must have forgotten to send because first set were solid. I wasn't up to bringing the boat anyway, under the weather I caught something and felt horrible. I will be there this weekend with the kids even . Might blitz to Kingston to see some boats etc.. im excited to finally get out. I missed 3 killer weekend s of boating. Hopefully you will be able to come out... Tell Sam I need some of her pics

Looking good there!

We were in the Bay this past weekend, will be there at HBW this weekend as well. Boat is starting to come into it's own now with some 7 hours on it, saw 91 at 5100 on Sunday not running it out.

Have a copy of the " Antique Reflections " print for your summer living room wall for you, just need to get together to make the delivery. Plan to be at HBW Thursday thru Monday if all works out as planed, see you soon.

The guy in the other Black Boat!

Cary 29 08-28-2019 06:16 AM

Ok Pete sounds great, well try to get together this weekend...

SUPERSTITIOUS 08-28-2019 05:17 PM

Looking Good Cary getting any seat time with the new props?

Cary 29 08-29-2019 07:01 AM

Yes Gary ran 28 SL5 from Chad Hill. Planed great ,still a little bit of porpoise, stern lift with the flared hub I believe but seem to carry the bow decent. Have a motor running a little rough at idle/low speed and 500 rpm off at WOT so plugs or something needs to be done. Been out only 3 times. Too much to explain here. Overall very pleased with the motors...

Need to answer your phone.

No good can come from this bail out. You have a lot of time and hands on effort to get this old school ride to be meaningful today, as it was in it's heyday

Stay the course. Call me!

scippy 04-26-2021 09:57 PM

Hey Cary...You've been through so many power and drive configurations with your boat ...I'm sure this last rigging (ob's) was the best of all of them.
I'm sure this is a hard decision your making, but I know your love and care of this old skool Cary is like a baby to you....go luck with the sale! ...Regards Scippy

Cary 29 04-27-2021 06:31 PM

Hey Skippy, hope all is well with you and your family. Yeah I have done it all with the boat. This package is great but unfortunately my time is so limited lately. My dad has dementia and I have to handle all his stuff, tenants, business, etc. While I have a good amount of warranty left I figured it was time. I don't really want to separate the components but I think it might be something to consider. I'll try to give you a call sometime soon. Thanks for the thoughts.

Cary 29 04-29-2021 12:15 PM

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Sold it....sad but necessary.

SUPERSTITIOUS 04-29-2021 09:02 PM

Sorry to hear Cary. I too know there’s a time and a place. Someone got a nice boat! All the best to you, dad and family.

Cary 29 04-30-2021 07:34 AM

Thanks for well wishes Gary. I really appreciate it. Yeah life changing stuff going on. Enjoy your new setup. You will be very happy with it I'm sure.

That was quick! Call me, maybe I need to hire you to move mine.

Cary 29 05-04-2021 07:30 AM

Sure Pete, be glad to help.... Facebook is what sold my cottage and boat. I personally don't use it. But a friend of mine posted on the marketplace areas for me and then I took over.

So sorry to hear you had to sell her. There wasn't a boat in the country that received more love than this one. Hopefully she went to a deserving new home. Best of luck to you going forward!

Tom

Cary 29 05-11-2021 06:17 PM

Thanks Tom, I appreciate you saying that. I know you are someone that knows full well what you are stating....
