Offfshore2, did the Kaama engines ever use the good bow tie blocks? My Kaamas, which came from Innovation Marine seemed to be pretty original right down to the Firepower ignition but had the Chevy bow tie race blocks. Could these have been original or were they likely upgraded during a rebuild?

On second thought, all Kaama 425's had valve cover breathers. A Kaama decal on the breathers would indicate a stage-2 motor.
Originally Kaama did not want to get into the engine business. They only wanted to sell drives. Boat builders didn't want just drives. They wanted a complete engine/drive package. So Kaama experimented with different engine builders until they settled with Hardin Marine. So Innovation Marine did build some motors for Kaama. |
