I haven't been to a movie theater in 10+ years due to exactly what you describe.

( Kinda off-topic)...... With today's 60" TV's & my WONDERFUL Bose sound bar & sub, who needs to waste stupid dollars at a theater anyway?
Plus, I can re-live the old fashion "intermission " and go out for a cigar!!
