When trying to reach absolute perfection, paint is the only way to go.

so is this yours? I have a 70 Wesco v-drive flat bottom and it is ready for paint and I am trying to decide on a paint scheme. that one is a beauty but looks like way more work than I want to do to paint mine.

Not mine. Flat bottoms with huge engines is a cool American thing, but a Scandinavian like myself is more about ocean-capable boats. The one in the photo was done by Billy B. Here's a link to his shop, and do look him up on Facebook for inspirational paint schemes.

This is me and my brother Brian 32 years ago. 77 Sanger flat bottom with a 460 ford. Wish I had this boat back. I always wanted to put a bow tie engine in it. I’d probably keep the paint since it was my dads idea and I couldn’t bring myself to paint over it.

Seems like I remember a lot of those old jets boats had Olds motors.

I always loved the look of the Sangers.
