Not even close.... just tired of working on it.

Iīve following your work - great! Iīve bought a 1989 Maxxum 281 a few months ago (Twin-version) and have the same work to do. Itīs al long way - but much fun.
I did it two times before with 20ft-boats and every time, i want to give up or tired of working, iīve looked the pictures from the beginning - what a great and big work is done!

So - hope, you will be back in the boat. Canīt wait for the next pictures! :-)

Sprayed two coats of gel with the dump and coated with PVA. Ruffer than a cob but hopefully enough material to block smooth.

Made a 26\" foot for the air file just to knock the worst off. Start blocking by hand after that. So far the worst part is trying not to notch the edges where the strakes meet the bottom.... Air file digs qick. :) Hand blocking is where it's at.

Sharpened the strakes and filled anything over a 1/16 with glass. Used vinylester putty for the thin stuff.

You might want to consider sharpening at the transom too. A friend of mine used to have a 25' Checkmate outboard (very similar hull) many years ago and doing that cured his porpoise issues.

Took some time off. Finally got back on it.

Slow going but I can't imagine doing this on your back.

WOW - did that years ago on my CVX 18 Glastron Carlson.
Lots of work is an understatement.
You are as anal as I am.
