Excuse my inexperience, but what are the advantages of these style drives? Less drivetrain power loss, less drag, stronger, less draft, prop closer to the water surface, etc. I've seen them before, but wasn't sure what the advantages were. Also, the thru hulls pointing down. Are they some type of muffler, or puts the exhaust under water while idling? Again, sorry for my lack of knowledge. It all looks awesome!! Thanks everyone. I will be running the Chesapeake bay. Yes this setup was a tight fit. The turn down tips will act as a mufler by directing the sound down and under water at idle.
