Goodyear Marathon's suck... Buy the Maxxis, and make sure you put the maximum air pressure in them.. Sidewalls flexing is what causes the heat and the failures.

MAX AIR PRESSURE IS THE KEY

Really? My boat empty vs. full of fuel is over 1200 pounds. The boat and trailer dry is about 9000 pounds so that is more then 10% being added to the load on the trailer. Not a small amounts.

Dang those are some laaaarge gas tanks! I can add about 800 lbs full of gas and holding tank water

I think he was referring to the change in weight / gal due to temperature, not the difference between a full / empty tank.
