Not sure, pm me your name. It's going back in a 27 fountain fever, single step, the 525sc is what came in the boat from fountain.

Black Baja - do you have pics of the 3" blowre pulleys you have? I'm dynoing with the stock 3.5 upper and 7 lower. Depending on how much/(little) boost I have I may be in need of your pulleys.

Heres a build I thought was also pretty good in the swap shop. Less than 5lbs boost, 686HP at 5900RPM, with Merlin heads. Those merlin heads were a good head, but not really known for big flow.

Gen V 468 with forged rotating assembly, hydraulic roller cam, new Comp Magnum roller rockers, Merlin heads and TBS polished 250 blowers. I bought these motors to put in my fountain project to get it on the water this summer, but the hull ended up taking longer to get ready than was projected. They were originally built by Performance Marine last fall and had only 15 hours on them when I bought them. When I got them back to the shop I ran them on our Superflow 902 engine dyno and found that the motors had a little less than ideal hot idle oil pressure. We pulled the pans and all main, and rod bearing clearances per perfect. We opted to replace the stock oil pumps with Melling HV/HP pumps and drives and now they have great pressure at RPM and idle.
The motors are set up to make 4.5-5 PSI of boost with the pulleys that are on them and with a top pulley swap they make 7 PSI (93 octane) and 730HP. They are equipped with 1050 Dominators that were worked over by Nickerson. 5 PSI dyno pull http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...ps1da6282d.jpg $22,000.00 I can also set them up for EFI for an additional $3,000 per motor. We can palatalize and ship freight at the buyers expense. Call 309 531-7291 or email [email protected] for questions. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...pswgbcsinl.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...ps6xqjdwjn.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...psf948153e.jpg |

Looks like that TBS 250 gives up almost 40TQ to the 177. Dyno racing, we're the fastest on paper! Lol
Good information everyone, thanks. My engines made 736ft lbs with 420 blowers ..... I wonder what compression and cam that setup has |

Well maybe Marks will, my blower is looser, should definitely run cooler ;)

Anyone care to take a guess at my hp? I've never dynoed my engines but know they make good power because they can push a 1988 panther into the ninties. I always assumed in the area of 650hp but looking at some of these builds and hp it could be more.
6055 edelbrock rectangle heads 9.5:1 static compression 8.2 dynamic compression 731 cam 6psi at 5400rpm 1050 dominator 468cid |

I've just bought 741 cams to spice up things a little for next season. I was thinking I'd get 200rpm from that change using my 32p bravos, same props as last year, putting rpm at 5600. So we are on the same page MT. I have 30p props too but don't like running them because a typical run we do will be over 100 miles and cruise is important too.
