Many people run duel prop in high performance applications. Many people say that Donzi Classics are 60Mph boats and there are more than a few running 100+ mph. Two 22c running over 110mph . The infaMouse x18 was over 115 mph. So let's skip the politics on design intent. Not to mention more HP in a boat adds value it doesn't depreciate it. The stock 5.7 block doesn't have enough static compression to build it into torque monster. Plus iron head even though they're Vortecs will hinder heat dissipation . So how far are you willing to go to achieve the goal. Steering clear from the Mercruiser/GM Performance platform will get you way more HP per $$$ . Here's a link
This short block with your supplied windage tray main bolt is the best bang for the buck. read the spec and watch their video.

I don't know if this was mentioned or not as I have not read every post on here. If you like your Liberator my suggestion is sell it and buy a faster one. A guy on my lake as a 91 or 92 223 Liberator with the 502 EFI option. For what it is, it's a nice boat and it's in the speed range of what you are looking for in stock form. His boat does a solid 64-65 MPH in 100% stock form. It's only a bit bigger than yours so trailering it would still be easy, and it would only be a minor uncharge to upgrade over your current boat. Like everyone else has said on here, your boat will not handle those kinds of speeds. Four Winns does make a good boat, I have many friends that own them as the factory is only 30 minutes away from where I used to live. That being said, the little Liberator is really just a sporty runabout. Look for a 223 with the 502 and you will be happy and not need to do a thing to it.

i was looking at that, i know dart blocks can take a beating and that would prob be a pretty good starting point. my big thing is weight. for a small boat id like to loos as much as i can. i also want to stay efi - its just what i know i guess early sbc like that one converter with FAST or BS3 could be a pretty sweet set up. ive been looking at some wrecked trail blazers and GTO's with the ls2's to keep the weight down and get some good power/ rpms out of it well being N/A so when boost gets added they will really sing
