That looks like a rebranded Merlin.

Same.

Bill Mitchell was part of World Products (WP had the Merlin name) in the sense of BillMitchell Hardcore was the biggest retail/wholesale company for World Products. and then purchased the aluminum product side of World Products. So,most of these are under the BMP name instead of the Merlin name.

That's my memory...as old and decripet as it is.

Bob M has been thrashed on here enough, but what pretty much came of it was a lot of his stuff were Crane clones often the 741 being the most used. Teague also copies the Cranes by just a couple degrees here and there to keep the lawyers happy. I went with the Comp Cams 525EFI cam which is the same as the 741 but 114lsa instead of the 112lsa to help fight reversion. My last cam had 110lsa and even with dry to the tip headers my valve seats were getting some rust.

The 33 Outlaw is a Baja favorite. Great boat!

I haven’t gotten to fire it up yet so who knows, lol. I have Edelbrock Performer RPM heads with a lot of chamber work, 10:1, rpm airgap manifold, CMI headers, 525EFI cam. I’d guess it should be about ~600hp with the heads and manifold topping out there.

The Baja section isn’t as active as it once was, but I’d ask in there about power setups as that’s a popular boat a lot of users may have experience with.

I built my engine for more all around performance, plus I’m already on the edge of what a Bravo drive can handle.
