Went and picked up some EZ outs. Will give it a try when the wind dies down so I can get my cover off.

when i had them break i used an easy out. replace them with the hardin ones. used them for three years now, never came out hard yet.

I could be wrong but the brass wing plug looks like a tapered pipe thread. How is that going to fit a hole tapped for 1/2-13?

This happened to me one time on a 502MAG. I took a drill bit slightly larger than the hole in plug, pushed it in the plug, and was able to twist out by hand the threaded barrel piece left in place......

no,,,,, your not wrong.........those are block drains or what ever else has a pipe thread

Got the leaky broken one out on the cool fuel unit with the EZ out. Replaced all of them with the Hardin Marine ones. Thanks guys!!
