Hell, a new minivan outperforms one... but it s the ideology and the fun and whatever. Im not suggesting its a good deal, or even affordable, or even a good idea.... but sometimes novelty and fun and desire take creed. Just sayin. Its not all what will go faster or practical. Is a diablo practical? Does it run well? Hell no. Is it cool and fun?? Depends on your life and what you know. Im just saying to me, ig I had the money, rain or shine, Id be there. And again, if they are doing it, it must work or they'd get betting blasted everywhere. They arent that I can tell.

doesnt matter either way, but sometimes folks gotta look at the exotic side, the fun side, ideologies.... not practicality or just function. My .,02 for this week.
I get it. I'm not pro practical.

But reality for a boat designed to to dangerous activities as normal is not a place to R&D unless you account for that. That means serious cash and resources.

It even caught up with Reggie.

Seems a lot of marine shops are havng issues with holding employees and getting work done. I'm sure many are spectacular, but a lot were always just trying to keep afloat at the best of times. Induce some stress, and the house of cards tumbles down.

Machine shops are not a business that translates well to selling. Too much proprietary knowledge and not enough decentralized command initiative/awareness.

Most youngsters these days don't have the base background most of us were fortunate to have.

BBC is the king of drives because it is made in your country and because the entire peripherals are adapted to these engines, otherwise it is a bunch of outdated hardware.
If you could get proper exhaust systems for these Lamborghinis and a drive with a higher gear ratio, they would be great alternative. But you probably don't have either one or the other available. OK, the drive would be a TRS with an external gearbox or one of the surface drives, but the exhausts are a problem.
For 600 hp and 6000 rpm you need drive with at least 1.65 for good accelerations, for 6600 rpm you need probably 1.75.

What if you put Bravo 3 XR drives with a 1.81:1 ratio on? With two 600 hp engines it still won't be too fast for a B3, right?

when i was a kid, I worked at a autoparts store... it had a machine shop in the back. We made stuff, we made it work, we helped people. Now days, autozone and similar most of the kids there dont know anything about anything. I cant figure out where we went wrong. Im from the days of installing tape decks and speaker boxes... but damn, i learned a lot. Its crazy now. All this intrernet stuff and people get smarter but way dumber at the same time. Nobody builds or fixes anymore.

I’m pretty old now.
Do you know how many yrs I’ve (we’ve) been being told ‘pushrod engines are dead ?”
30?
They’re still not dead.
Chevy small and big blocks are still around in a big way and they are the cheapest to build.

SB,

If I had a dollar for every time someone told me a Subaru Boxer engine would be better than my BBC in my boat , I wouldn't be able to retire, but I'd definitely have some gas money.

Thanks. Brad.

Honestly dude - for a fraction of the cost of 2 Lamborghini engines, which represent a terrible solution, you can buy two drop in ready big blocks and be boating Labor Day weekend. I’m glad you finally got there, but my head was starting to hurt

Yank the motors out, pull the heads, drop the oil pan and see what’s going on. “Locked up” and “Blown up” are two different things in my mind and probably lead you to different solutions but at this stage you really don’t know what you have.

Im a former Cafe Owner. Loved the boat. Post pictures of yours.
