Donzi 27ZR
#141
I have said my peace, Andy I wish you all the best. All I can say now is Donzi has really dropped a few notches in my book. See what Sunsation can do for you. I think they would be happy to build you a boat with a true "custom" paint job and power without a problem.

I was told today that my boat will be the next in production. Donzi has also offered to make the boat a 2010 model in hopes of giving me some immediate equity rather than lowering the price tag. That sounds reasonable for my trouble, although I am still without a boat. I will be calling Craig Barrie next week if I don't get a production date early in the week. I have also asked for a few options that I didn't originally spec out to be included at no charge. I have not gotten any word if Donzi will honer that request.

If Donzi would have been upfront with the approximate completion date I would never have had issue with your deal. I do not see the value in making the boat a 2010 model except when you sell it you will have more hours on it than others of the same year. I am sure once the boat is done all of this will be water under the bridge. Good luck!

Sounds like the same story you were fed a month ago Andy. CYA and have them give you a date in black and white. Make a deal ... $1000/day off the boat if past the delivery date.

Nope never had a boat built. I am not bashing Donzi for anything other than the way Andy has been treated during this process. Look back over my posts and you will see this.
Peace,

I spoke with Craig Barrie today, he explained what the hold up was and why boat production is slow at Donzi. He told me that my boat will go into production tomorrow and if anything arises he will personally call me and let me know what is going on. So production should finally get rolling and I should have a finished boat in about seven weeks. I will hopefully have some pictures to post very soon.
