I assume by reading above, the ZRC listed is a side by side setup?

Thank you Mike for the kind words but also selling us a great boat. It just runs and runs. All we have done in 3 years is maintenance. I like your new cool ride Thanks again Les Ellard

f/n sweet boat right there! I wish I wish I.....
|
I wonder how well it runs with the -4 scx ,i have a set i am going to try on my zrc if the boat really runs 95-100 it sounds like they work well
|
Let me know how it works for you. I know that boat was fast but more 95 than 100. I would be concerned on the handling with the drives up that high. As it is now, I barely trim my standard length and throw a rooster tail a mile long.
|
Is he swinging a Bravo style prop or a #6 style prop?
|
My boat is currently running imco -3 with 1/4 spacers ,propshaft looks real close to even with bottom i figure the -4 with 6 propshaft should work nice, the -4 scx have a huge skeg and the bigger 6 props hook up real nice so handling should not be a problem
|
I don't see the ZRC listed anymore the one with the bimini top. Someone pick it up??
|
New ZRC listed in the classifieds. #6's!!!

That boat used to be the orange/yellow/brown boat.
It was converted to a #6 boat. From what I have seen it runs real good and with #6's is a bullet proof package. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89BWqj0BmUg |
Here is the most unique ZRC out there.... and it's for sale.
It has BPM/Arnesons and used to be a race boat. Not sure why they re did the canopies. Looks cool but doesn't look like a ZRC any more. http://www.mondialbroker.com/Barca.a...1-0937feee830e |
Any others that put a wrap around windshield?
|
That's the only one I know of.
Even the race boats used the enclosed F-16 canopies and not a full cockpit canopy. |

Just bought Dave's (MDG) 33 Powerplay. What a great guy to deal with. Boat was as represented. What a great fun ride. Like my ZRC I got from Mike A. Wholly crap what a haul from Annapolis (beautiful area) to Houston.

Here is another pic and video of the Baia Donzi before the canopy change. It's a different short stagger than the other ZRCs.
The European class they used to race in was limited to 90 mph so it was geared / propped for that. http://www.poweryachtblog.com/2010/0...ance-race.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwKUvDzlwpE |

Propped right, a ZRC with 525's runs mid to upper 90's.
The P1 Supersport rules until 2008 did not allow you to break 90 mph at any point during a race. In 2008 the speed was dropped to 85 mph. If it is like the bracket classes we run now in the United States, there may have been a grace period of XX seconds where you could breakout without being penalized. http://www.mby.com/news/rule-changes...approved-12495 |
After a lot of soul searching that I am sure I will regret I have decided to sell my ZRC. I love the boat. The funnest greatest riding boat I have owned. I just don't use it. 55 hours since 2012. Just listed OSO.

Time to get your boat back Mike A.!
Drop in a pair of 700hp motors and make it fun! |

5 months after I get the AT the only other 'right" boat comes available.
Of course.... :angry-smiley-038: |
I agree completely. Michael did a great job with this boat. I have always stored it indoors. Maintenance is all I have done. No issues in 3 years.

Little run the other day in the 2004 we have listed.
|
Eddie, is that the all red one? If so, one of my favorites of all time. I don't know if it's the same one, but Steve Simon took me and my GM contact on a poker run in that or a very similar boat when it was brand new. We killed a ton of boats including several cats in the rough. Made me fall in love with the ZRC right then and there. They are great boats.
|
Where are all the ex race boats hiding out???
|
I have one in Houston.
|
Les, this is Phil. You texted me a few days ago! I know your boat lol

a ZRC will certainly be my next ride. im just wondering where to put the cooler!!
|
Lol wouldn't leave home without it. There is plenty of floor space on mine
|
I thank everyone for the interest in my ZRC and apologize for not having more photos readily available. I will pull out of storage tomorrow and take detailed photos. Thanks for your patience.
|
Two small soft sided coolers fit fine on the back floor even with 5 people on board. I also pack two larger coolers under the front deck to restock the smaller ones on weekends and multiple day trips.
|
The aquamania zrc now has a new owner in 1000 islands on the Canadian side. Was rafter up with him on the weekend. That thing is dialed in, 126 mph!

O4 with Cobra 750's and XR's. I think Powerboat did a piece on this boat when it was new.

That boat was for sale in the fall of 2007 and on my short list when I bought mine.
Definitely will need to beef up the drives. |
Boat needs a new trailer....the 2001 myco in the pictures does not fit it from the back half.....and the trailer is in poor condition. besides that....
I drove 1293 mile with check in hand.... the owner had waited hours before sea trail to fire the motors....the boat has been sitting and not run for 18mnths I was told. Who does that???? The boat had not had a service...had not been washed, 1/8" of dust over complete boat..... (it had not been cleaned since it last was floating...you know the build up you see after a good float near a marina) . They did get it running and a wash I heard, but after seeing the trailer and how the boat was generally taken care of (or not) .... I killed the deal. Maybe a right choice maybe not...???? but I know the motor/drive combo is miss-matched and the life of this stuff really depends on how you drive it and how you maintain it and I could only assume if the owner kept the things I can "see" like this then how did he really maintain the big HP motors and drives... didn't want to speculate or ignore the obvious. Did that once before on a 2000 Cig and I regretted the choice more then a few times.... The owner has 6, 8, 10 boats and toys and has the means????? He owns a marina I hear.....to hard to make a call to the marina and get the boat out of storage and clean her up? None of my business I know, but I've sold 11 boats in the last 16 years.... I know they run, they are clean and ready when a buyer comes to view/test drive it, ready for a surveyor.....they are always ready.......First impression is the last impression, right? Broker who represented the boat is a good guy and tried real hard to make me happy...... he did not have full control of the sale(boat at his location) so he was basically at the mercy of the owner and what he wanted to do....or not do :) |
