She got wet yesterday!!! We dropped her off Wednesday night at the marina and they got the control modules programmed and the hydraulic lines bleed. After work we dunked her in our local reservoir and did some testing. For a couple of amateurs we did ok. She ran 65mph at 6250rpm spinning the very rough 22p bravo1’s off the opti’s. I calculated the slip and we are at 13% at WOT. We do have a few issues to work out.
1. Kept getting a knock sensor warning limiting our RPM occasionally because it’s in a bag in the truck (easy fix)
2. This thing digs a massive hole trying to get on plane. Tabs all the way down helps a bit but still not great.
3. Half of the thru hulls on the side are under the waterline when off plane now.
#2 & #3 are a result of 300 extra lbs. hanging off the back of the transom so we probably will end up putting 300#’s of lead sacks up front to rectify that situation. Also that should help trailering it the tongue definitely needs some more weight on it to settle it down.

Dropped off at the marina

She’s named

The font and inspiration came from a 20oz. bottle

First launch.. talk about Nerve racking

She floats.. little low in the stern but not bad

Congrats!...I can't believe you bought a boat and totally ripped it apart right after you picked it up. Hopefully you get the bugs worked out soon.

Looks like you have 280 k-planes? you can buy just the lower plate, swap out to the 380's?

The colors on the cowlings will change very soon. This was just to get it on the water. Also wanting to add in some color to the sides. The custom touches will follow this winter.

I guess we’re a little crazy for tearing into a boat we barely had driven but it’s nice to know your boat inside and out. My only wish is that we had found a boat in November so we didn’t miss most of the summer. Regarding the cowlings as Jeff said they will get changed soon but at this point we just want to go boating so it can wait. One thing that couldn’t wait is where to put your beverage. There wasn’t a single cupholder in this boat so we had to add a few. (10 to be exact)

Showed up a little early to the hardware store so I set up shop in the parking lot and measured and drilled a few holes while I waited.

Test fit the seat back brace

Seat back with cushion attached

And just like that we have oh-sh** handles, a seat back, and 5 cupholders.

A few hours later and our cupholder situation has gone from 0 to 5 to now 10. Not the prettiest but it works for now.

And finally a running shot of this beast

Thanks guys, we had a blast last week during the LOTO shootout. Coming from a Baja 25 Outlaw to this is incredible it handles the slop with ease. She ran great all week until we got to the start line and the hi-pressure fuel pump in the port motor decided to give out. Kinda a bummer but when you have 3 engines it only slows you down a bit. We trimmed her up and ran the rest of the weekend on 2. Takes a little more to dock but not a problem at all. I actually think with a light load we might even be able to get her on plane with just the center engine alone!!

LOTO bound

Bunks need a little adjustment but she sits nice on the lift.

First time in the waters at LOTO
