just as a point of info, i had a 328 race skater (which is now on lake cumberlands website) with 2.5s , and while it had better acceleration (60-100 mph) than the doug wrights, the max I saw out of it was 108mph. great boat in the rough though

Thumbs up

PUT ME IN COACH!!!!!! I have been a DW supporter since I met him in NYC with GB. I know some history on DW that is really sweet knowledge to me. More to do with what he was doing before he was building boats. Let's just say I had a few of his designs before the boats even came into play.

I became an even bigger supporter when I got to crawl inside one of his masterpieces and to date my favorite boat that he has built. That boat being DL's LOAN SHARK. in race trim and in pleasure trim. By far the BEST outboard powered cats on the water. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sarasota was 3ft this week-end. Too much fun to run in unfortunately no one was out in the gulf but me.

I will be in Key West for sure.

Its up in the air currently if LS will make the trip. This will be a great event.

Default speed update

Speed update for LS

82 degrees outside. 81 water temp.

113mph @ 6,300 stb and 6270port with 35lbs water pressure and 45 gallons of fuel.

stock 15/34 cleavers bblades standard thickness with trailing edge work.

Next stop will be bblades for some 36's.

I believe that the boat will see over 118 again.

We will have to wait for the next update as I am taking the boat in for a re-rig and some updating on the interior.

Dan

Dan,

That is with 300xs, right?

Your boat really flys. The best mine has ever gone so far it 102.1 with 2 pob and 40 gallons of fuel. It consistantly runs right around 100 with 2-3 pob, 40-60 gal. Thats with 15x32 and I do not make the rpm you make. At this point, I am just enjoying the boat. I may do some more setup and dial-in work next spring.

Lots of tech specs, real world data at http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...=149139&page=8
