I've heard from people in the know (don't want to drop names here) that the large case that the LU has on these 400R motors are actually helping the lifting of the rear of the hull when under way.
Not sure if its just during the planing speeds or the actual cruise speeds or top-end, these folks have observed this over the last 2 rigging on the DW32 and thus wanted to "exploit" this knowledge on this(third) and possibly future rigging. This is probably why the weights(batteries, etc) have not been shifted to the front.
will have to watch and listen some more as info is shared to me. Sharing this info so that other cats currently being rigged with 400R's may look into this.

Hey Darren, What props are you running while you are waiting on your Merc props. And did you run both the over hub and the small hub props from Merc. How was the comparison between the two. So glad to see you're enjoying the hell out of her. The wait is so tough but totally worth it. Steve.
