That's great Darren. I am glad you got her home safe and using the boat.
Funny how all these boats are different in what they want for props.

Yes, learning a lot. it's incredible the variables involved.

Thanks Steve! We did try both over the hub and small hub on my boat. The boat likes the small hub props the best. I ordered a set of the 33" small hub props which are going to be my all around props. Mike from Merc is going to send me a set of 34" small hubs to try with a lighter load and slight diameter change to see what we can get for a big number. Right now I am running 34" over the hub Dewalds that I borrowed from Grant. The 33" small hub Merc props ran back to back to back 121 on the limiters with 45 gallons a side @98 degress and super high humidity so there is definitely more there.

I'm a little confused with your terminology... "over hub" are you talking about "thru hub" like a Bravo w/ a barrel? - "small hub" are you referring to over hub like Mercury Racing cleavers and Dewalds with not barrel? I am just trying to make sense of different applications.

Now, are the props spinning in or out on this beast?

Sorry, just referring to the different styles like I was told. When I said "over the hub" I meant like a Bravo style prop, Small hub is like a #6 prop. Dewalds are over the hub like a bravo prop.

If I had a new 32 Doug Wright with 400R Mercs on it ............ You guys would be sick of all the pictures. "Just sayin" ;-)

I agree but I think you have the next best thing. The 30 and 32 DW are to big for the water I run in. Now a new 28 DW would work for my application. Please post some more pics or videos when your not having a blast in that beast. Congrats again Darren!

Not to thread jack but, this is a new DW designed 28 coming along nicely. Twins or a single varieties available...
