What a great looking boat! Can't wait to watch the build of this pleasure DW!

noli 10-23-2015 08:59 PM

beautiful boat! Nice to see the hull and deck together.

DW continues to feed the luxo hi-perf cat market with a design centering around the user and performance

When is the trailer arriving

.

ktron 10-24-2015 08:23 AM

New Myco is at DW.

Hey Ktron. Have they had the boat on the trailer yet. I had a Myco built and shipped to Skater. Its a beautiful trailer but the bunks were a half inch off on each side. I assume it sits on the splash rail like mine. Skater was kind enough to redo the bunks of me. Just curious and you should check it well in advance of doing a transport incase it was like mine. Could avoid some small headaches.

ktron 10-25-2015 07:16 AM

Thanks Nasty, i know that Myco has the model of the hull so DW Sr. told me they usually fit perfect. I will know more this week as I will be at DW Tuesday.

That would be great. I m just saying that They had all the exact dimensions of my rig and it was off. The welds were beautiful but the bunks had to be removed and redone. Im glad it usually works out perfect but you can never be too cautious. Just throwing it out there.

Very Nice!

Would be great to see pics of how she sits on the trailer

When will Grant's take possession of your cat for rigging?

Hello Ktron:

What Nastybug is telling you is great advice. I had the same issues when I received my trailer. The back two bunks did not even touch the hull.

I had to do a lot of customizing to my Myco to get it right.

You are going to love your DW nothing like it on the water. Those 400R motors are the ticket no oil and quiet. Plus they pull hard and very little maintenance.

I saw this on the other forums. Might be worth a look if the motor comes out in a timely manner.

Hoping that they unveil this motor at the 2016 Miami Int'l Boat Show.

Nastybug 11-04-2015 09:48 AM

Looks great Ktron. And trailer looks almost exactly like mine. Mine fits perfect now. Hope yours works well from the start.

Omni Present 11-04-2015 10:31 AM

DW my absolute favorite boat love it on the bucket list!

Flightplan 11-04-2015 10:44 AM

Absolutely impressive build. Congrats.

It would be a VERY HARD decision with many sleepless nights to choose between a Skater and what DW is turning out - that is saying alot!

the added step platform for stern entry is nice. Lines of the boat are super slick! I can see the 7" you talked about on sponsons.

ktron 11-04-2015 01:50 PM

The small Bustle with step was Grant's idea and the guys at DW nailed it. They love to keep the lines smooth.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the positive and nice comments on the boat!

Comanche3Six 11-04-2015 02:31 PM

Beautiful!!!!

AZMIDLYF 11-04-2015 03:50 PM

That is a thing of beauty!!

I think the bustle might also act as a trim-tab when coming up from 0 to planing speeds.

Yes, the DW guys made me a new windshield combing so the new windshield will have a different angle as well as height and width.
