Great lines on your boat. The white looks real nice. You are keeping it that way correct. when do your motors get in or mounted.

Flightplan 02-29-2016 09:16 PM

Ktron, with Dan's 32 DW running 120mph with the 300xs motors. What are your expectations with the 400r's?

ktron 03-01-2016 08:28 AM

Yes, Nasty keeping it mostly white. I'm stopping into Grant's Thursday and will know more then as far as how the rigging is going.

Flightplan, It would be great to hit the 120 number with a reliable setup, but we will have to see with different props and motor height.

Double Rigged 03-01-2016 12:22 PM

The word "RUNNING" 120mph or more likely has run 120mph?

I think it will 120mph no problem everyday. What I love about boat speeds is someone runs a number once in their life under ideal conditions and set up and all of a sudden that is what the boat runs. .
We all know that everyday does not = onetime.
I have yet to see a boat run as advertised under daily conditions.
Just saying.

Especially when it comes to (lower torque) OB's and lighter boats, they are very sensitive to additional weight.

AZMIDLYF 04-29-2016 03:34 PM

Nice! I saw that the Stihl cat was finished and headed to the water so I figured yours would be on the agenda next. What brackets did you go with for the 400Rs?

Nastybug 04-29-2016 03:46 PM

Hey K, I just received a set of Dewald 5 Blade cleavers. Gonna run them week after next. I know you'll most likely need more pitch than the 33s I have but they have worked well on the X Cats per Dave with the 400ROS and the larger gear cases. I love my Merc Cleavers but most people don't want to go for them. When are you gonna get to testing. Steve.

AZMIDLYF 06-08-2016 08:47 AM

Don't know about you guys, but that wiring is what does it for me. Simply phenomenal!!

ktron 06-08-2016 10:16 AM

Yes, that's the latest. Suppose to be getting the seats at the end of this week. Most of the rigging is done. Just got the dash panel and they are installing the Garmin 7612 and a VV7 in the center of the dash as well as the Latham dual helm.

AZMIDLYF 06-08-2016 10:51 AM

So your summer is starting to look up then?? :drool1:

AZMIDLYF 06-08-2016 01:51 PM

Heck...I don't even own it and I'm going crazy. Lol

Double Rigged 06-08-2016 03:07 PM

I heard the new VV's software is not complete yet. I may be wrong but putting the VV7 in for now.

yes

What is the draw for this set up? Different driver's and their preference for throttle hand?

flexibility. If I am alone, I will drive from the port side but if my wife or Buddy wants to drive, I will throttle from the port side helm and they can drive from the starboard side.
