Default Color of the Drive lube after 35 Hrs ??

Ok guy this is my used Hi Perf Mercury gear Lube after 35 Hrs in my Xr drive ....what do you think about the color ?? , i have no metal on the magnet plug ....it`s normal color ?? , i have no issue with my drive ...but i don`t want to have one just before my summer holiday

p.s. the left strip is a brand new oil ..and the right one is the used one
Thank`s in advance

If ever your lube change colors , it`s because of the heat , and it`s not normal !!! , It will not last for long ....the advise is split it appart and re-check tolerance

No metal is good! Is there any metalic glow to the oil when in the drain pan and rolling it around in the bright sun light? If so, take a magnet and put it under the pan and rotate, does the metalic follow the lines of flux?
It looks like the oil is getting hot, I would drain more often and make sure your driveshower is doing it's job. But it isn't abnormal to see the oil come out black like that.
The only other think that looks abnormal are the rocks that came out with the used oil. I assume they did because they are on that side of the towel?? They look like they held up well under use!!

Small amounts of alluminum will discolor the oil rather quickly. Send out an oil sample of the fluid, it's cheap compared to the price of a drive failure.

Looks a little bit darker than normal. I would change it more often. You won't get all the old dirty lube completely out. I would change it again after a single trip out and then start changing it every 25 hours.

I am thinking a new style drive shower. Maybe Simrek or one of the other, better units. If yours has the angled tip, it is like one I had and it doesnt work very good.

I would suggest using the Severe Gear in the Bravos. Either the 75w-90 http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/svg.aspx?zo=1132530 or the 75w-110 that Teague now recommends http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/svt.aspx?zo=1132530 .
