Darrell.
There is a solution to every problem, well as long as it does not include women that is.

I have blown my Konrad because I am running well above and beyond the rated and recommended HP. I knew that going into my project.

This is a public forum and I was simply posting a potential solution for the man. No reason to get offensive. I didn't slam your product. Arneson makes an incredible product and they work for most applications, just not all.

Easy Rik.

The prop gaurd is a good idea. I also would consider buying a couple Mercury Racing prop guards. They are easy to slip over the prop on the trailer and in the water for a little extra protection.

Jim,
I've driven Frisco Cat (which is the same boat in Riks post before paint) and found it docks just as well as a #6 Nortech. Carlos (Frisco Cat) spent quite a bit of time prop testing so I'll see where he ended up, he was happy with his last set up. We've got access to a large prop library so I can steer you to the props you need.

I don't like the prop guards because they cut the roost down too much, which I believe was the intended purpose. The props are real sharp, I've found Merc Racing props to be just as sharp on a #6 as an Arneson but maybe I'm wrong? We always pull the props when the boat goes on the trailer or the hoist. Too dangerous and too expensive to leave hanging around.

And Rik, we didn't see you at Pitts on the weekend, what gives? Don't like races with 5 boats?

Have Rik set you up with their BPM that way everything is covered, what application doesn't Arneson work in?

Lofty,

Thanks for the info, I'll be looking you up once we get started with this project. It will probably begin after the OSS race down here at LOTO, our season ends about then anyway.

btw...i like the bikini girls on your website...lol...the one with the party cove girl was one of my employees shot last summer in PC when we were on the way back from a project site visit...nice taste...

Jim

Correct me if this is no longer true, but they will not work in a staggered Vee that has a notched bottom.

It is not an issue of "work" it's a matter of installation. Totally different point.

The notch on a stagger application (very minor percentage of boats) needs to be filled in order to properly install the drives.

We have them installed on stagger applications on the Fountains, Hustlers, and other V bottoms out there.

On the standard side by side applications the notch is not an issue.
