The thing I like about Mr.Gadget's is that he checks everything and completely blueprints the drive. He's got one wild set of mircrometers! I was his first customer about 5 years ago....about 250 hours and still going strong. He's done a lot of drives for guys on OSO from all over.

Ask him how he got into rebuilding Bravo Ones...quite a story.

Mr. Gadgets without a doubt. I am putting big power thru the ones he built for me. I had him do a tear down after one season and everything looked perfect. I am smart with the sticks as well. I highly reccomend him.

Thanks for the advice, I will make the call. Just curious, has anyone tried Billet Marine, they advertise an XR that will handle 1200 hp. www.billetmarine.com

1200HP and a Bravo is not a good combo. That's #6 territory.

Gary, their ad is unclear, they imply they offer custom billet drive ratios but then they go on to say they use mercruiser gears. Some of their tech sounds like the old school stuff the bravo shop and max worx used to do before the xr gear sets came out (tig welding the floor of stock, weak upper gears then heat treating or cryotreating them). I would be cautious before spending any coin with them because I don't think they are offering anything that you don't already have or have tried unless they actually are marketing a billet lower gear set,Smitty
