I have thier top caps and they are Huge to say the least. I would recommend them to be the best in the market. 1200hp on the other hand is absurd. Until someone comes out with better gears.....none of them are better than the other if properly set up. Get an imco lower with torsional shafts, put in a max upper vertical, change to good bearings and you are good to go. Blue print the case, debur everything, and set the gears up to hit the middle of the merc recommended specs and be easy on the sticks!

Way to much for an XR, a bit over 14.

I'm confused ??? If you know you have more power than an XR can handle, why ask who builds the best one??

The boat's to small for a 6, what other options are there? the best one may last more than a couple of hours.

GPM,
What size is the boat? There are quite a few smaller cats and tunnels that have run a #6 with some very good results. Seriously 1200HP will just kill a bravo.

26, I was told by the manufacturer it wasn't a good idea, doesn't mean I haven't thought about it.

26 is plenty big for a #6. Check out hotboat.com, there are a number of cats in your range running #6 drives. 1200 HP and a 6 in your boat ,should put you well into the 130's.
